These terms are the agreement between you and Entity Investment AG, Sonneggstrasse 10, 9100 Herisau, Switzerland (UID CHE-161.152.467, "we") when you use Starlog. By making an account you accept them. If you use Starlog for a business, you accept them for that business and confirm you may.
1. What Starlog is
Starlog records meetings on your phone and turns them into transcripts, speaker names, summaries, decisions and action items, files them in your own space or your company's or team's space, and answers questions about them. Starlog is invite only while it opens; an account needs an invite from us or from someone who uses Starlog.
2. Your account
You must be at least 16, give a working email address and keep your devices and passkeys safe. One account is for one person. Tell us at admin@starlog.pro if you think someone else got into your account.
3. Recording people
You may record only conversations you take part in or are allowed to record. Before you record, you tell everyone present that the meeting is being recorded, and you get their agreement where the law requires it (it does in Switzerland and Germany, among others). You never record in secret. If someone objects, you stop or delete the recording. Businesses are responsible towards their own staff and guests. We may suspend an account that records people unlawfully.
4. AI output
Transcripts, speaker names, summaries, decisions, action items and answers are made by AI and can be wrong. Check what matters before you rely on it. Starlog marks AI-written text as such.
5. Plans, trial and payment
Every new account starts with a free trial. After it, an account continues on the Free plan unless you choose a paid plan. Paid plans (opening soon) are billed monthly or yearly in advance, through our payment partner, who sells the subscription to you and handles taxes and receipts. Prices and what each plan includes are on the pricing page. When a plan's limit is reached, recording continues and transcription waits until the hours renew or you add hours. We announce price changes to you in advance, and you can cancel before they apply.
6. Cancelling and withdrawal
You can cancel a paid plan in the app at any time; it runs to the end of the period you paid for and then becomes Free. Consumers in the EU can withdraw within 14 days. See refunds and cancelling.
7. Your content
What you record and write stays yours. You give us only the rights needed to run Starlog for you: to store, process, transcribe, summarise and show it to the people you share it with. We do not use your content to train AI, except that, while Help improve Starlog is on in Settings (on personal plans unless you turn it off), recordings in your private space and your corrections help improve Starlog's own transcription; never company, team or secure meetings, and we never let our providers train on anything. Personal data is handled as our privacy policy says; for businesses, the data processing agreement is part of these terms.
8. Acceptable use
Do not use Starlog to break the law, to record people unlawfully, to store content you may not store, to enrol other people's voices, to attack or overload the service, or to get into spaces you have not been invited to.
9. Other services
If you connect Google, Google's own terms apply to your Google account. Starlog uses AI providers listed on sub-processors.
10. Availability and changes
We work to keep Starlog available and your data safe, but cannot promise it never fails. We may change features; we tell you before we remove something you pay for.
11. Ending
You can delete your account yourself in Settings, or by writing to admin@starlog.pro. We may end an account that breaks these terms, after telling you why when the law and safety allow. Free accounts nobody uses for 6 months are deleted after warnings. Before an account ends, you can ask us for a copy of your data.
12. Liability
For businesses, our liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability for intent or gross negligence, for injury, or where the law does not allow it. Consumers keep every right the law of their country gives them.
13. Law and courts
Swiss law applies, and the courts at our seat in Herisau. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country you live in and may also go to the courts there.
14. Changes to these terms
We tell people with an account about changes that matter by email or in the app at least 30 days before they apply. If you do not agree, you can cancel before then.
