Notes from the room, not from a bot.
Otter's notetaker joins your Zoom, Teams and Google Meet calls to take notes. Starlog listens on the phones in the room and records calls from your own computer, so nobody new joins the meeting. No bot, no surprise guest.
Made for the meeting in the room.
Nobody new joins
On a call, Starlog records from your own browser tab. In the room, from the phones on the table.
Otter: its notetaker joins Zoom, Teams and Google Meet. The whole meeting
Starlog never stops a recording, on any plan, however long the meeting runs.
Otter Basic: 30 minutes per conversation.Your data stays close
Servers in Germany, in the EU. Made by a Swiss company.
Otter: stored with Amazon Web Services in the United States.Every phone in the room makes the notes better.
One phone at the end of the table hears the people near it. With Starlog, everyone who joins records on their own phone, and Starlog merges them into one transcript that knows who said what. The quiet voice at the far end of the table is close to someone's phone.
Only where they differ.
Both record meetings and turn them into transcripts, summaries and action items. This is what is different. Otter's facts as its own website shows them, checked on 7 October 2026.

Before you choose
Can Starlog record Zoom, Teams and Google Meet?
Yes, on a computer, when the call runs in your browser: Starlog records it from your own tab, so nobody new joins and nobody gets a "notetaker has joined" message. In the room, the phones on the table do it.
Do the others in the room need Starlog?
No. They scan a code and record in their browser, no account needed.
Does Starlog record with the screen off?
Not yet on every phone. On Android, the web app keeps recording through calls and app switches, and its Black screen button keeps it recording while the screen looks off. Apps for iPhone and Android that record with the screen off are on the way.
Is my audio used to train AI?
Never anyone else's. Recordings in your own private space help improve Starlog's own transcription unless you turn it off in Settings; company and team meetings are never used. See privacy.
Can I try Starlog today?
Starlog opens in small groups. Join the waiting list and we write when it is your turn. Every account starts with 30 days free.
